This course gives a comprehensive insight into the simulation of plasmas with COMSOL Multiphysics®. Plasma simulation includes the kinetics of charged and neutral species, mass transport, electromagnetic field, heat transfer and fluid mechanics. The main focus is on non-equilibrium plasmas, but equilibrium plasmas are also touched.
The course first introduces the underlying equations and approximations and thus shows the possibilities and limitations of plasma simulation. The basics are explained using example models, and all modeling steps are explained in detail. The course also provides sufficient space for practical exercises. Under guidance, you model models independently from the extensive training material. This course offers you an optimal introduction to plasma simulation with COMSOL Multiphysics®.
